The 25th FAI World Aerobatic Championships were held at Silverstone Circuit from 20th to 29th August 2009 This was the first time since 1986 that the most prestigious competition in the world of air sports has been held in the United Kingdom The World Aerobatic Championships which are held every two years, include two independent championships: a Technical Championship and a Freestyle Championship. Over 60 of the best pilots from around the world competed over British soil for the top title in air sports REVUE THOMMEN since1853.co.uk were proud to be the Official Timing Partner for the World Aerobatic Championships and presented the top three pilots in each Championship with a REVUE THOMMEN Airspeed watch in recognition of their achievement To commemorate the event, REVUE THOMMEN since1853.co.uk commissioned a unique, limited edition watch, the Airspeed XXLarge WAC of which only 50 will ever be produced |
